Commerce donated $500 to the Friends in February 2001. The check was

Thousand Oaks Library Director Steve Brogden applauds as legendary writer Ray
Bradbury acknowledges with appreciation a plaque from the City of Thousand
Oaks. The plaque was presented the author at the library on December 17, 2002
in honor of his years of generous giving to the Friends and Thousand Oaks
Library System. Mr. Bradbury gifted in full the proceeds from his appearance
that night to the Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library Endowment Fund. |
