Used Book Sales

Thank you for your support of past used book sales at the Newbury Park Branch Library. Funds netted from the sales are given back to the Thousand Oaks Library System in the form of books, materials, special projects and programs for library patrons to use and enjoy.

Used Book Sales are two-day events held at the Newbury Park Branch Library in March, July and November of each year. A big Thank You to the Friends Book Sorters and other volunteers who support this very commendable effort.

Please check the Event Calendar for the date of the next Used Book Sale.

We Need Your Donations!

The Thousand Oaks Library welcomes donations of used books, books on tape, CDs,
VHS videos, DVDs and records. These donations from the public are what make our book sales a success. When you donate books, books on tape, CDs, DVDs and records you no longer need, want, or have room for, you provide a way for book and music lovers of all ages to acquire a wide range of these items at reasonable prices. Often donated books can be used to replenish worn or lost books in the library's permanent collection. Donations are accepted at the Grant R. Brimhall Library and the Newbury Park Branch Library during regular library hours.

Daily Used Book Sales:

Used books are offered for a nominal price on designated shelves at both libraries each and every day! Most hardcovers are $2, and paperbacks are $1. A selection of individually priced items is also available. Check out the selection next time you visit the Grant R. Brimhall Library or the Newbury Park Branch. Ask at the circulation desk for the location of the sales. Proceeds from Daily Used Book Sales are given back to the Thousand Oaks Library System in the form of books, materials, special projects and programs.
